Abbeyfield Houses Society of Canada
Abbeyfield offers a warm, family-style House and a balance between privacy and companionship, security and independence, combined with the special caring element provided by dedicated volunteers and the consistency of a single House manager.
Age and loneliness are the prime considerations for residency, together with level of health and compatibility with other residents.
Each House creates a sense of "belonging" that is truly preventative medicine. With a history of nearly five decades, our statistics show that most Abbeyfield residents take on a new lease on life. They are more fit and more inclined to live out their natural life cycle (and longer) without becoming debilitated.

Community associations are non-profit organizations, which recruit and train volunteers, plan and administer recreation programs at minimal cost to residents in the fall and winter, and work to enhance the quality of life of the people within the neighbourhood.

International Women of Saskatoon
IWS was officially formed in 1985 to address the needs & issues of immigrant, refugee and visible minority women, which remained outside the perimeters of the mainstream service organizations. The provincial organization, Immigrant Women of Saskatchewan (now called Immigrant, Refugee, and Visible Minority Women of Saskatchewan) was the first organization in Saskatchewan, to undertake an extensive study to identify various needs of immigrant women, including that of employment. Thus, an important part of the IWS mandate is to undertake projects and activities to meet the special needs of the target groups.

Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan
Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan is Saskatchewan's only professional summer theatre organization. Over the last 18 years, we have continued to grow and are now recognized nationally and internationally as one of the finest Shakespeare Festivals in the country. Our tents along the riverbank are summer's harbinger for Saskatoon. This season we will be performing Shakespeare's greatest tragedy, "Hamlet", and "The Alchemist" by Ben Jonson - Shakespeare's greatest rival. We run from July 3 to August 18, 2002. If you are interested in volunteering, we'd love to have you.

St. John Bosco Wilderness Camp
St. John Bosco Wilderness Camp operates primarily as a summer camp for youth ages 9 - 17. The focus at camp is having fun learning and living in the outdoors. Our core experience is the out-trip, where campers have the opportunity to experience rustic wilderness travel and camping. Through these experiences campers make lifelong friends and develop a new appreciation for God and nature. The camp is an invitation to people to live, learn, and share with each other in the natural environment that God has provided us with, and to develop a greater awareness and responsibility towards it. Within a Christian framework, campers are encouraged to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually, realising God in all aspects of life.
