What is volunteering?

Volunteering - giving your time to help individuals, businesses, and organizations but you do not get paid.

How do I start volunteering:

Step 1.  What are you interested in?

Health care, office work, art, computers, daycare, driving, teaching, special events, sports, outdoors, working with elderly, working with immigrants, working with children, working with people with special needs, etc.

Step 2.  Contact Volunteer Saskatoon at (306) 975- 3477 or browse current volunteer opportunities

When choosing volunteer opportunities consider these questions:

  1. Do I have means of transportation?
  2. How far can I travel?
  3. When can I volunteer?
  4. What is the length of time I am going to volunteer?
  5. How many hours a week can I give to volunteer?
  6. Is a police check required?

Step 3.  Once you have chosen one or more volunteer opportunities call or email the contact person on the posting.
